Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, The Human Resources
Administrative Specialist will provide support to the daily operations
of the human resources functions and duties, contributing to the
accomplishment of HR section goals and objectives. Specific duties of
the Administrative Specialist may include, but not be limited to,
performing the following duties with little or no direct supervision:
- Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- recruiting and staffing support, including conducting background checks
- on-boarding new hires
- compensation and benefits administration recordkeeping
- employee health record keeping and administrative support
- employee safety record keeping and administrative support
- employee relations assistance
- performance management tracking
- staff member services, including but not limited to employee
transportation options
- random drug screenings
- HRIS assistance
- file maintenance, including electronic and hard copy data
- Liaison with HPD (Houston Police Department) as needed
- Ensures appropriate acquisition, operation, and maintenance of
HFSC employee and intern access cards.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as requested
